Wodonga’s new CBD Junction Place, is underway, with Wodonga Council working with Development Victoria to boost the economic and social benefits of the city through the project.
Development Victoria held initial meetings with Council and local stakeholders to provide an update on the project.
The project will double the size of Wodonga’s CBD, delivering quality community spaces, and a mix of retail, entertainment, commercial and residential developments – driven by private investment opportunities and guided by local stakeholders.
Wodonga Mayor, Kev Poulton, welcomed the update from Development Victoria.
“We now have a great opportunity to reset the Junction Place development and deliver a transformation of our CBD, working with Development Victoria and the community,” Mayor Poulton said.
“As Australia’s largest urban renewal project, Junction Place will become a landmark precinct that will provide our city with economic and social benefits for many generations to come, and it is important to work with our community to build a vision for the future.
“It’s encouraging to see Development Victoria’s commitment to meeting with our community and other stakeholders.”
