Wollongong City Council has re-elected its Deputy Lord Mayor to serve for the Council’s remaining term.
Cr Tania Brown was re-elected at the Council meeting on 18 September.
Cr Brown will remain in the role until the next general local government election in New South Wales, which is scheduled for September 2024.
The Deputy Lord Mayor assumes all the duties and powers of the Lord Mayor at the request of the Lord Mayor, or if the Lord Mayor is prevented by illness, absence or otherwise from carrying out the required functions of the Office of the Lord Mayor.
