The City of Wanneroo has unanimously voted in a new CEO.
Bill Parker has been appointed to the position, and boasts over 20 years of local government experience, and has worked in disciplines including project management, customer service, records management, property administration, finance, strategy, technology and general management.
Mr Parker said that he looked forward to working closely with Council and Administration to achieve the vision of the City’s fast growing and diverse resident and business communities.
“A high growth city with an incredibly diverse community and landscape presents exciting possibilities,” Mr Parker said.
“Wanneroo is poised for great things, including making huge strides in commercial and industrial growth and shaping the region as a welcoming, inclusive, accessible and thriving place for everyone to live, work and explore.
“Through agile planning, we will continue to adapt to provide for current and future generations. It’s a privilege to be part of the team behind that vision.”
City of Wanneroo Mayor, Linda Aitken, said that Council looked forward to working with Mr Parker to ensure the City continued to deliver on the community’s aspirations.
“On behalf of Council, I welcome Mr Parker to the City of Wanneroo,” Ms Aitken said.
“Our community has high expectations for the future of the City of Wanneroo and I am confident that Mr Parker holds the skills and experience needed to lead our thousand-plus workforce to achieve the City’s strategic vision.”
