The Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 2.30pm on Thursday, 17 September at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, alongside the 2026 Local Government Convention.
The AGM brings together elected members and council officers from across Western Australia to debate motions, vote on policy directions and discuss issues affecting the local government sector.
Each WALGA member council is entitled to nominate two voting delegates, with each delegate allocated one vote.
Attendance at the AGM is free for all local government elected members and officers.
Registrations for voting delegates are now open. Registration details were emailed to local government CEOs on 23 June, with registrations closing at 5pm on Tuesday, 1 September.
