Australia’s largest gathering of waste management professionals is headed back to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 23-24 October, with free registrations now open.

Focusing on the latest in waste management and recycling products and technologies, the event aims to put sustainability in the spotlight with a comprehensive conference and exhibition, alongside the new Government Lounge and the Waste Innovation and Recycling Awards.

Thanks to focus from the Federal Government and corporate investment, the case for sustainability has never been stronger. From minimising waste generation to promoting reuse and recycling, reducing landfill, and fostering a circular economy, the opportunities and expansion facing the industry are significant.

With over 3,000 attendees, over 100 exhibitors and a strong conference program with over 100 speakers representing both academia and industry, Waste Expo Australia is a powerful destination for professional development, sourcing and networking for the waste management and recovery industry.

The 2024 exhibition features suppliers including TOMRA Sorting and TOMRA Collections, Repurpose It, Komatsu, Wastech, Applied Machinery, Toro Waste Equipment and Ecocycle. Also on the exhibition floor is an all-new Government Lounge, with Sustainability Victoria, Recycling Victoria and EPA Victoria all present. The lounge will create a space for attendees to engage with experts on strategic plans and initiatives for advancing a circular, climate-resilient economy and address waste and recycling challenges.

Strategic Account Manager for TOMRA Collections, Brent Murray, said that the opportunity to meet key industry partners and understand more about the emerging circular economy makes Waste Expo a prime destination.

“We’re excited about this year’s Waste Expo Australia, as TOMRA Collections are debuting a real game-changer for the circular economy. Our stand will showcase how a larger-scale reuse system could operate in Australia,” Mr Murray said.

Waste Expo Australia is supported by key industry associations, with the Victorian Waste Management Association, Australian Institute of Packaging and Australian Organics Recycling Association all contributing to the promotion and planning of the event.

In a win for efficient supplier networking and sourcing, Waste Expo Australia will be co-located with All-Energy Australia, forming the country’s premier events on renewable energy, energy management, waste management, resource recovery and sustainability.

With under 100 days to go until Waste Expo Australia 2024, the conference and exhibition is now open for free registrations. The full conference program will be released in the coming weeks. Register to attend Waste Expo Australia 2024 at www.wasteexpoaustralia.com.au
