In exciting news, Smart Cities has officially merged with new local government magazine Council.  Smart Cities newsletter subscribers will now receive the Council e-newsletter, which will cover everything happening in the local government sector, as well as a dedicated section looking at all of the latest smart cities news.

The Council online hub has been developed to keep you up-to-date with all of the latest news, discussions, innovation and projects in the local government sector. Our vision is that this hub will arm community decision-makers with the critical information they need to deliver a better future for cities, towns and suburbs all over Australia.

Council will have a strong focus on providing the industry with genuinely useful tools and information that can help you make better, more informed decisions in your daily working life.

We’ll look at the wide range of issues and projects up for consideration in the local government space, and keep our readers informed of the critical industry news, updates and changes that they need to be aware of.

Local government is an essential sector, and we are passionate about helping place-makers achieve the best community experiences and wellbeing that will make our cities, towns and suburbs the best places they can be.

Council will feature a website updated daily with all of the latest industry news, as well as thought-leading features, interviews, opinion pieces and more. There will also be a weekly e-newsletter, which will continue to be published on Tuesday mornings, as well as a quarterly print magazine, with the first issue being released in October 2021.

Across print and digital, Council will look at the wide range of issues and projects up for consideration in the local government space, and keep you informed of the critical industry news, updates and changes that you need to be aware of.

We’re excited to bring you the first issue of the Council e-newsletter on Tuesday 22 June.

In the meantime, you can follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook to make sure you don’t miss a beat.
