Programmed Facility Management has taken a meaningful step forward with the launch of its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). More than a document, the RAP is a framework that guides us in building respectful relationships, deepening cultural understanding, and creating real opportunities with First Nations peoples.
Our journey so far
What started as a conversation in early 2023 quickly grew into a company-wide commitment. A diverse working group of employees came together to design a plan that reflects Programmed’s values and responsibilities. By July 2024, this work was recognised with formal endorsement from Reconciliation Australia, a milestone that confirms our dedication to genuine, measurable action.
Bringing the RAP to life starts with education. A short film has been created to share the story behind the plan and highlight how every employee can play a role. We’ve also introduced Milestone Walls in our offices to track progress and keep reconciliation visible in our everyday work.
Partnerships are central to this journey. With the support of Muru Office Supplies powered by COS, IndigiGrow, and the Willum Warrain Aboriginal Association, Programmed is learning from and walking alongside communities that inspire lasting change.
Why it matters
Reconciliation is about building respectful relationships between First Nations peoples and the broader Australian community. At Programmed, we see this as both a responsibility and a privilege.
Through the RAP, Programmed is committed to:
- Relationships: building genuine partnerships and listening to First Nations voices
- Respect: recognising history, culture, and rights through education and action
- Opportunities: creating pathways for employment, training, and career growth
Our RAP is only the beginning. In the months ahead, Programmed will continue to share stories, celebrate milestones, and invite people across the business and beyond to join this reconciliation journey. Together, we’re committed to listening, learning, and walking forward, side by side.
