Local Government Procurement (LGP) is offering procurement training courses to council staff through its LG Training Academy.
Applications are now open for a certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting and a Diploma of Procurement and Contracting.
The LG Training Academy is a registered training organisation (RTO) and is backed by Local Government New South Wales.
These qualifications provide the knowledge and training required for independent and self-directed work as a procurement and contract manager in the public sector. The courses cover the broad range of skills required to operate without supervision in a procurement and contracting environment.
Both courses can be taken either in-person at LGP’s office in Sydney or online via Teams.
Diplomas and Certificate IVs are typically completed over the course of one to two years. LGP’s procurement courses are designed to be completed over a period of 52 weeks.
