Regional local government CEOs have been encouraged to nominate to fill a vacancy on the LGASA CEO Advisory Group (CEOAG).

The Local Government Association of South Australia (LGASA) is seeking nominations from to fill the upcoming vacancy. The term will commence on 1 February 2026 and conclude on 31 January 2027.

This vacancy follows the resignation of Bridget Mather from the Coorong District Council.

LGASA said that Mather has been a valued member of the group, and that her insight and knowledge will be greatly missed across the sector.

The successful nominee will be asked to attend at least four meetings per year, generally held at Local Government House on Thursday afternoons, with the option to join online.

The CEOAG is used by the LGASA to obtain CEO input into current and emerging local government issues and to debate potential solutions.

To be eligible, nominees must currently hold the position of Chief Executive Officer (or equivalent) at a regional South Australian council.
