Council officers across New South Wales are being invited to apply for a new program supporting vibrant and sustainable night-time economies.

Applications are now open for the inaugural Night-Time Economy Accelerator for Councils, delivered by the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner.

The 14-week capacity-building program will run from April to July and begin with an in-person bootcamp in Sydney, followed by a series of online masterclasses and coaching sessions.

The accelerator is designed to help council officers learn from industry experts and connect with peers while exploring challenges and opportunities in developing successful night-time economies.

It is suitable for councils at all stages of their night-time economy journey and is open to staff working in areas such as economic development, tourism, culture, arts and planning.

The program aims to support councils in driving local vibrancy and creating safe, engaging after-dark experiences for their communities.

Applications close on 27 March 2026, with places limited.

Further information and application details are available here.
