The Local Government Association of South Australia (LGASA) has partnered with the History Trust of South Australia to provide schools with new resources that will help students learn about their local governments.

The new resources have everything teachers need to bring local government to the classroom, including videos, posters, interactive worksheets and customisable templates.

Teachers can guide students through lesson plans, using videos and fact sheets, helping them explore the history, role and distinct responsibilities of councils.

By integrating these materials into the curriculum, the LGASA is aiming to make a positive difference in the learning experience of young people. This aims to encourage them to be active and engaged community members as they grow.

The new resources are now available on the History Trust of SA website. They will be available to schools, educators and those interested in learning more about local government.
