The Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) has collaborated with Reconciliation WA and key State Government agencies to launch an online platform that will help councils build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

The platform, Kubang Yanginy, is a comprehensive online tool designed to support local governments across Western Australia to honour cultural heritage and integrate reconciliation into decision-making.

This website offers the latest information on legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements related to Aboriginal heritage and native title.

Focusing on key themes like reconciliation, partnerships and placemaking, Kolbany Yanginy provides advice, resources, case studies and an interactive map to build capability across local governments.

WALGA and Reconciliation WA are hosting a webinar on Wednesday, 26 November.

Local Governments are invited to join online for a guided tour around this comprehensive platform, with an opportunity for Q&A.

Register for the webinar here.
