The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) has appointed new Advisory Panel members to its board, who will lend their expertise, leadership and passion to the association’s decision making.
Four Advisory Panels have been established, each addressing a key priority area identified in the MAV’s Strategic Plan 2024-2027:
- Health and Wellbeing
- Climate Futures
- Connected Places
- Future Gen
This milestone reflects MAV’s commitment to fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and supporting councils in building a resilient and sustainable future for Victorian communities.
In March 2024, MAV launched its Strategic Plan 2024-2027, Shaping Our Future, with a focus on supporting councils to deliver outcomes that meet the evolving challenges of local governments.
Each panel includes a dynamic mix of sector leaders and subject matter experts who will work together to develop strategies, policies, and initiatives to support the MAV to deliver on its strategic objectives, as well as identify emerging advocacy priorities.
Through their advice, the panels will ensure that the MAV’s work is evidence-led, includes diverse perspectives, and works toward a shared vision of Victoria’s local government sector.
