The 2023 National General Assembly of Local Government (NGA) held by Australian Local Government Association (ALGA) will be held on 13-15 June in Canberra, with this year’s theme now revealed.
The theme for the 2023 NGA will be “Our Communities, Our Future”.
The 2023 NGA at the National Convention Centre – which incorporates the Regional Cooperation and Development Forum – is expected to be the biggest yet.
This year’s NGA program is being developed to feature a wide range of high profile and engaging speakers, leaders and presenters.
ALGA also continues to work closely with the Federal Government towards incorporating the return of the Australian Council of Local Government (ACLG) as part of the event.
ALGA are looking for ideas for new federal programs and policies that would support councils to build stronger communities in the future.
ALGA has produced a discussion paper outlining the criteria that NGA motions must meet which can be downloaded here.
Motions are due to ALGA by Friday 24 March and can be submitted at www.alga.com.au
