The National Economic Development Conference (NEDC21) is a must attend event for anyone working in economic development in Australia.

This year’s event, to be held online and hosted by Mackay Regional Council from October 13-15, will feature live, interactive presentations, Q&As and lively discussions tied to the theme: Regional Transformation – An evolution of the circular economy.

Why should you attend?

Here are five reasons why you should join us at the largest gathering of economic development professionals in Australia.

The only conference for ED professionals
NEDC is unique as it features relevant, practical presentations and discussions to help economic development professionals deliver best practice work in their communities.

Affordable and easy access
While we are disappointed to not be travelling to beautiful Mackay, the virtual format of NEDC21 means anyone can attend without breaking the budget with heavily reduced fees and no travel expenses.

Experts in abundance
Speakers and panellists are made up of experts to deliver world class content, case studies and thought leadership in the Circular Economy. This is truly a unique opportunity to get a deep understanding of what the circular economy is and how you can implement it now.

Nationally accredited professional development
Australian Certified Economic Developers (ACEcD) can earn 10 CPD points by attending NEDC. Don’t forget, you need 50 CPD points over two years to retain your accreditation.

Advanced networking
While NEDC21 is a virtual event, the innovative event platform will provide plenty of opportunities to catch up with old friends, colleagues and industry experts, through networking and discussions. It’s also a chance to share the success of the 2021 Economic Development Awards for Excellence finalists. Mackay Regional Council are even promising to send some local treats in the mail for delegates to enjoy!
