The National Local Roads, Transport and Infrastructure Congress

The National Local Roads, Transport and Infrastructure Congress is the premier national gathering of local government specialists, experts and leaders responsible for the management of these critical community assets.

This year, the Australian Local Government Association is inviting delegates to beautiful Cairns, in tropical Far North Queensland, for an exciting and in-depth program that will focus on areas of priority concern to the nation’s councils, including data innovations for heavy vehicle management, how driver behaviour can be influenced by infrastructure design, building (and retaining) a more capable workforce, funding and sequencing for enabling infrastructure, accessible and inclusive design, and much more.

This year’s technical tour will provide an opportunity for delegates to visit the groundbreaking Gordonvale water security project.
