Risk Engineering & Project Controls Conference

$1,230The Risk Engineering Society (RES) and Australian Cost Engineering Society (ACES) of Engineers Australia are jointly organising a combined Risk Engineering & Project Controls Conference, to be held on 15-17 May 2019 at the Sydney International Convention Centre (ICC), NSW, Australia. The program will include pre-conference workshops on 15 May, while the presentations will run on 16-17 May.
The theme for the conference is A time for action – risk engineering & project controls impacting the future.
The Asia Pacific infrastructure market is expected to grow seven to eight per cent a year, reaching US$5.36 trillion a year by 2025 representing 60 per cent of the world total. Both emerging and mature economies, like Australia with an aging demographic, need substantial amounts of expenditure on development and upgrade of economic infrastructure as well as social asset such as health and housing. One common challenge for all economies is fundamental constraints, including budgetary, timeline, uncertain benefits and risks.
Therefore, there is a critical need to improve and further support the required decisions by using innovative but practical risk engineering and project controls solutions. The ‘future’ in the theme is intended to cover any or all of the issues alluded to above, with the understanding and management of risk engineering and project controls being an essential element of future.
