Truck Moves Australia’s vehicle relocation services are an efficient and cost effective way to ensure regular fleet replenishment.
As Managing Director of Truck Moves Australia, Matt Whitnall explained, “We work closely with everyone in the supply chain, often moving a new vehicle six or more times for multiple customers until it finally gets deployed to the end customer.”
When supermarkets Coles and Woolworths first started their home delivery service in a big way, Truck Moves Australia was tasked with coordinating the delivery of the new trucks in their fleets.
“Each fleet started with a base of 350 vehicles. We moved each one about six times, from a cab chassis out of storage, to the body builder, then to get decals, then to get comms, GPS tracking and other safety features, then to have the trucks registered and then finally, we delivered the vehicles for handover,” explained Matt.
“Sometimes a unit did not pass the high standards the fleet managers had, so the defected truck would need to go back a few steps, before coming back into commission.
“It was a big program that ran for many months and created about 4200 vehicle moves, which would have been impossible for them to do internally, so they called the experts – Truck Moves Australia.”
According to Matt, Truck Moves Australia’s network scale is one of its biggest super powers.
“That’s together with the industry leading safety and driver management systems we built, full insurance cover and our ability to pick up a truck, same day, anywhere in Australia and get it moving interstate to where the customer wants it without delay or fussing about. If the customer needs it done, we make it happen,” he said.
“We have a highly expert and strong operations team spread across the country in all capital cities, and every one of us is customer facing. No one in our business is a passenger. We’re an express response service, you call, we answer. It is not uncommon for us to complete more than 1000 new truck deliveries each week.”
