Buloke Shire Council has appointed a new Director Infrastructure and Delivery after a rigorous external recruiting process.
Hannah Yu, who has been Council’s Acting Director Works and Technical Services since January 2022, will move into the role on a permanent basis immediately.
Council’s CEO, Wayne O’Toole, said, “I am really excited to announce Hannah as our Director Infrastructure and Delivery. She has had an amazing career at Buloke and her achievements in the directorate this year in project delivery and asset planning have been first class highlighted by the review of our Road Management Plan, the Strategic Asset Management Plan, the 2022/23 Capital Works Program and oversight of the Tourism Innovation Grant Guidelines.”
“This is on top of her undeniable Corporate Services record. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Hannah in her new role.”
A senior leader at Council for many years, Ms Yu was appointed as Director Corporate Services in 2017, after playing a pivotal role in the Human Resources department since 2007.
During her time at Council, Ms Yu has been central to financial management including annual budgeting and long-term financial planning, corporate compliance and governance, project delivery, Local Government Act 2020 implementation, information communication technology transformation and asset planning.
